USAID HealthIT partnered with the Ministry of Health Division of National Malaria Program (and other partners such as Afya Ugavi working also with the counties) to offer technical support and develop the health commodity dashboard on KHIS as well as carry out sensitization sessions to train national and county officials on the use of the platform to help solve some of the challenges experienced in commodities management. The dashboard also strengthens commodities surveillance and use of information to improve decision making for programme performance.
The dashboard has helped to:
Accelerated reporting,
Reduced sudden stock out in facilities
Serves as a guide for supply chain and redistribution of
commodities among the facilities
